Tired of replacing those perpetually disintegrating plastic rear windows?  Glass is the way to go!  With a glass window conversion, you'll never have to deal with an opaque, brown, or torn plastic rear window ever again.  

Our glass rear window conversion features a zip-open, slightly tinted and contoured rear window that compliments the shape of the top.  The zip-open window allows you to drive with the top up and the window open or closed.   When down, the glass window sits only slightly higher than the original plastic window and still allows use of the factory boot.

When installed with the included new zipper, the glass window conversion will fit any OEM-style Miata top.

The new Miata comes standard with a glass rear window... so keep your Miata contemporary and take a tip from the designers at Mazda--glass is better!

Our glass window conversions for vinyl tops use original grade Haartz^® vinyl, and our glass window conversions for cloth tops use Stayfast^® cloth.  Available in black or tan.

IMPORTANT -   PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING! These conversion kits will not convert a non GlassFold top into a GlassFold top.  Conversions require that the glass window be unzipped and laid on the deck before the top can be folded.  These windows come complete with a rear curtain and both halves of a new, large, heavy-duty zipper.  Since Mazda uses a non-standard zipper for their windows, the zippers on these (and all other aftermarket) replacement windows will not mesh with the original Mazda zipper, and require that one side of the new zipper be professionally sewn into the top.  Installing the new zipper on these or any manufacturer's replacement windows requires removal of the top.    Rear window conversion is only recommended on tops that are relatively new and in excellent condition.  Since no sewing is required when installing a complete new top, you may find the overall cost of a new top is lower than buying and paying someone to install just a rear window.

Get rid of that brown, scratched or torn window that's been driving you crazy!  With the installation of the included new zipper, these windows will fit any OEM-style Miata top.  Our replacement windows for vinyl tops use original grade Haartz^® vinyl, and our replacement windows for cloth tops use Stayfast^® cloth.  Available in black or tan.

Tinting!  In addition to clear, Plastic Rear Windows are available in Green Tint or Smoked Grey Tint.

Please note, both replacement windows for cloth tops as well as custom tinted windows for vinyl or cloth tops are special orders and are not returnable (but may be exchanged for the same item and color if defective).  Please make absolutely sure you're happy with the color before placing your order. 

We recommend visiting a local upholstery shop.  Visit our top and window color samples page and give the shop the color name and code number shown below the color you're interested in and tell them the window material is Pressed Polished Sheet,  and they should be able to show you an actual sample of the material.
